Bentonville & Bengaluru: Walmart invites select Indian sellers to apply in joining Walmart Marketplace, a curated sellers community that serves more than 120 million US shoppers each month.

Michelle Mi, Walmart Vice President, Emerging Markets and Business Development, said, "Building on our long history of partnership with Indian exporters, we offer Indian businesses an opportunity to their export dreams as marketplace sellers by reaching millions of daily customers in the US.

Rajneesh Kumar, Flipkart Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, said: "Outstanding 'Make in India' brands gets opportunity to expand their global networks, learn export best practices and diversify their product categories in concert with Walmart as they take on the world."

In continuation with 20 years of Walmart's engagement with Indian exporters, the company has set an ambitious goal of exporting $10 billion from India each year by 2027 and allowing them to use Walmart's warehousing and delivery infrastructure, global supply chain along with platform tools that help them streamline their operations, manage promotions and customer feedback in US.

The Marketplace opportunity extends Walmart's efforts to support small sellers in India through its business where Walmart and Flipkart are helping Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sellers develop in digital capability chain and to participate in the global supply chain via the Walmart Vriddhi supplier development program of which pioneering Indian firms like Delphi Leather India, Mahi Exports, Touchstone Gems & Jewellery and Welspun are already growing on Walmart Marketplace.

Selected sellers will be able to take advantage of Walmart Fulfillment Services, which allows them to use Walmart's warehousing and delivery infrastructure in the US, along with platform tools that help them streamline their operations and manage promotions and feedback.
